Kelci Bryant may be retired from diving, but she will forever be known as an Olympic medalists, and the first since Laura Wilkinson in 2000. The excitement and enthusiasm that she and (Abby Johnston) brought to the team with that first medal in 2012 no doubt helped the team to a record setting four medals in London.

- Has two sisters, Katie Beth and Kara, and two brothers, Kevin and Steve
- Katie Beth was a five-time national champion diver at Miami
- All four of her siblings are or were college athletes
- Kelci has never trained for diving in her hometown (Springfield, Ill.)
- Started diving in 1997, when she trained in St. Louis (100 miles away), then trained at Illinois State (60 miles away), then at Purdue (200 miles), followed by the National Training Center in Indianapolis,and is now a junior at the University of Minnesota
- She started homeschooling in order to have more time to train
