In August of 2008, the world's best divers will meet in Beijing for the sports most coveted award - an Olympic gold medal. Medals in eight events will be awarded to 12 of the most accomplished divers on the planet. The Chinese are the favorites and have had a stranglehold on the Olympic hardware for the past 20 years, but Canada, Australia, Germany and Russia all have capable divers who could upset the Chinese in their own backyard.
