Where Is Tom Gompf Now?:
Tom Gompf won a bronze medal on platform at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. An Olympic medal is quite an accomplishment but what Tom may be remembered for most are the contributions he has made to the sport since winning that bronze behind teammate and gold medalist Bob Webster, and Italian Klaus Dibiasi. If their is a position within the sport of diving that he hasn't held you would be hard pressed to find it, and if it wasn't for Mr. Gompf, there might not be synchronized diving in the Olympics! He continues to lend his expertise and experience to the sport shaping the future as a member of the USA Diving Foundation Board of Trustees.
