Greg Louganis

Louganis dominated both springboard and platform diving like no other diver before, or since. He swept the Olympic gold medals in 1984 and 1988, and was the favorite to do so in 1980, but due the the U.S. boycott of the Games was denied the chance. His technique was studied by the Chinese and became the basis for many of their training programs - training programs that have allowed China to become the dominant force in diving in the world.
