Definition:

The hurdle is the last movement of a diver during a forward approach and prior to the takeoff from the diving board.

The hurdle consists of a spring to the end of the board off one foot, and then landing on two feet at the end of the board, and is usually accomplished by lifting a knee toward the ceiling similar to a hurdle in track.
