Maybe you haven't heard of this term, but angular momentum and the conservation of angular momentum are terms that are dear to a diver, a figure skater and a cat.
The principle allows a cat to land on its feet, a figure skater to spin faster on the ice, and a diver to spin faster in their somersault or twist.
