The AT&T National Championships are underway in Greensboro, N.C. Competition began yesterday with the 1-meter, where Meaghan Houston and Aaron Fleshner both won their first national titles. The championships are just a a national championships. Sounds kind of odd, but in other words; no international teams are being selected based on the results.
The event also signals in some respects, a changing of the guard as many divers will have retired following the Olympic Trials and Olympic Games, leaving the championships open for new blood - especially junior divers.
It is a good place to get a look at the next crop of future Olympians!
