Within the sport of diving there are many instances of one sibling following another into the sport and it becoming a family affair. Probably the best known family of divers is the Dumais brood, with Troy, Justin, Dwight Brice and Leanne all competing in the sport, and obviously competing well. Each of the Dumais family competed in college and with multiple national titles in USA Diving, their success speaks for itself.
But there is only one pair of siblings who have accomplished something that even the Dumais' have not - national titles in college. The brother sister act of Jessica and Drew Livingston are the only pair of siblings to win NCAA Division I titles in diving. Jessica won hers on platform in 2007 while Drew won his in 2009 on 1-meter. The similarities do not end there as they both competed for Texas and both were coached by Matt Scoggin.
If Drew, a senior, has a successful NCAA championships, they could add another accolade as the only brother and sister to win an NCAA title in the same event in diving. Drew has come close on platform, finishing second in 2009, seventh in 2010 and fifth a year ago.
