Ipsen and Lamp Named Top High School Divers

Saturday June 6, 2009
After three days of reviewing footage of the top high school divers in the nation, the NISCA High School All American Selection Committee has chosen 130 girl and boy divers to receive All American awards. Representing the top 1% of all high school divers competing in the nation, each of these diver receives this prestigious award - an award that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

The divers were chosen based on scores given by the committee while reviewing over 500 DVD's from eligible divers. This consistent scoring created an unbiased ranking of each of the divers. The full list of the award winners will be available on the NISCA Website within the next few days.

Along with choosing these All Americans', the committee has also chosen a high school national champion based on the scores from the competition footage. The boy's title was won by Kristian Ipsen, competing for De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif. The girl's title was won by Victoria Lamp, competing for Bearder High School in Knoxville, Tenn.

When will the All-America list be posted now that the selection has been made. We have some anxious kids waiting.

De La Salle is NOT in Compton. Check your facts.

I stand corrected. De La Salle High School is in Corcord, Calif. The confusion comes from the fact that Kristen Ipsen is listed as being from Compton, Calif.
